AlphaSTAR joins as NCDMM Alliance Partner

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA, (4/8/2021) – AlphaSTAR is proud to announce its new addition as an Alliance Partner to The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM). NCDMM works to support the Department of Defense’s transformation to more cost-effective, sustainable and maintainable weapons systems through a focused initiative for the development and deployment of advanced manufacturing and machining techniques. AlphaSTAR joins a select group of organizations interested in working with the NCDMM to implement advanced manufacturing simulation technology within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and its supply base.

As a simulation solution provider, we are eager to add our unique capabilities to the NCDMM team and offer an avenue where industry leaders, innovators and engineers can utilize our ICME based material modeling and process simulation toolsets to deliver accuracy and reliability into the overall performance of their parts” says, Kay Matin, AlphaSTAR President.
AlphaSTAR’s family of tools include GENOA 3DP, an additive manufacturing simulation toolset aimed at accurately predicting the manufacturing anomalies associated with as-built AM parts. Advanced multi-scale progressive failure simulation methods are used to replicate the 3D printing process from material modeling/characterization to structural and thermal simulation in order to determine irregularities from micro to macro scale. GENOA 3DP enables users to optimize build processes to reduce weight, scrap rate and improve overall part performance to meet design specifications.
